What I Wore - Pink & Black Forever

You're probably all so over seeing my City Chic skater dress outfit posts, but I just love them so much! They are seriously comfortable!

I have no idea what is going on when my hair in these photos. It was pre-fringe cut, that's all I have to say!!

Pink and black has got to be my all time favourite colour combo.

I just love the skirt on this dress, it's pleated at the top, and just falls really nicely. I also love the vinyl and studs on the shoulders, and the zip. Ok, I love it all!! This is another sale pick up of mine. They only had an M left, and I'm usually an S in the skater dresses, but it fit perfectly when I put it on!

What I Wore - Royal Blue

It took me ages to name this blog post. And I'm still not happy with it!

I'm starting to feel super overwhelmed with all the things I have to do! I know that if I make a list and write them all down, I will get them done. And I haven't even started studying yet!

Anyway, I picked up this dress in City Chic's sale last year, and it's one of my favourites (don't I say that about all my dresses???)

Their skater dresses are just so comfortable! And I love the 3/4 sleeves on this number.

I managed to get my fringe cut, eyebrows threaded and eyelashes tinted over the weekend. That's about as far as my beauty routine goes!

I'm so glad I took my own advice, and grabbed a few pairs on flats in colours other than black. These are almost the exact same shade of blue as the skirt of the dress.

Leek & Goats Cheese Tart

Firstly, if anyone has commented using Google+, I am not ignoring you, I can see your comments, they just aren't showing up properly, and I am not able to reply. I'm working on it!!

I thought I would share my recipe for leek and goats cheese tart. This, as with all my recipes, is super easy to make!

Ingredients

2  sheets puff pastry, thawed
3 leeks, chopped
20gm butter
1 Tbs olive oil
1 Tbs brown sugar
1 Tbs balsamic vinegar
2 Tbs water
150g goat cheese

Method

Preheat the oven to 200C. Place your butter and olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add your chopped leeks, and cook until starting to turn golden brown

Meanwhile, place your pastry sheets on top of each other, and score a border about 1.5cm from the edge. Then prick the centre with a fork.

Pop this in the oven for about 10 minutes - so it just starts to puff up.

Mix your vinegar, sugar and water in a bowl, and season your goats cheese

Once your leeks are starting to brown, pour over the vinegar mixture, and allow to cook for another 5 minutes or so

Remove from heat, and allow to cool for about 5 minutes. Remove your pastry from the oven, the middle should be puffed up, so just push that down. Allow to cool for about 5 minutes.

Then spread your goats cheese over the centre of the pastry (I use my hands for this!)

Then top with your leeks

Pop this in the oven for about 30 mins, or until the pastry is all puffed up and golden.

Simple, and delicious!!

What I Wore - Leggings? Hell Yeah!

Before this year, I was like 'Leggings, HELL NO!' but it's clearly because I HAD NEVER WORN A PAIR OF LEGGINGS!!!! Now, now I see what it's all about. Now, I'm 'Leggings? HELL YES!' I will even wear them as pants. Yep, you heard right.

When you can buy leggings that are as amazing as these, why wouldn't you want to wear them as pants.

If you are a regular reader, you will know about my love of monochrome. And when I came across these leggings I had to have them. I bought them in December, and waited patiently for the weather to turn, so I could wear them.

I don't know what I'm looking at in these 2 photos!

Things I Love Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone! This week I've been getting up earlier, so I can do yoga every morning. One on my '30 by 30' goals is to do yoga regularly, I've been doing it regularly on the weekend, but I want to do it every day.

Jesse sent me the link to this t-shirt the other day. I want it so bad!

What I Wore - Kaleidoscope Colour

I think just about every Aussie Curves girl picked up this dress in the recent City Chic sale, and to be honest, I wasn't going to buy it. I had to go to the shops, and just happened to stop in and look in City Chic again, just to look, and ended up walking out with it. Who can pass up a $40 dress??

Plus, the multi colour is just so cute. And it was the last one left of the shelf, AND, it was my size. Totally meant to be, right?

I decided to wear it with my absolute all time favourite pair of boots. I bought them nearly 5 years ago, and they're still my favourite. So comfortable.

Boots - Dr Martens

I bought 3 long sleeved crop tops in different colours from ASOS to wear like this under dresses. They are so perfect, they come to just under my boobs. I'm so tempted to wear them as a top with a high waisted skirt though!

Also, the boots, being Dr Martens, are still available. Seriously, best. boots. ever.

They were shopping apparently!
Then yesterday I went to hang out with my gang. It was my best girl's birthday last week, so we went out for Churros!

but, not before cuddles with this handsome man.

I even made her a cake!

What else went on? Oh, Special Agent Dale Cooper got a hair cut.

Major Tom just sits where ever he wants

Jesse and I finally sat down and nutted out a plan for selling our current house, and buying our new house. We are hoping to have our house on the market by the end of August. It's very exciting. And then he kept making this face at me

And then sent me this picture, of this face. It's terrifying and hilarious all at the same time!

Oh, also, I've just enrolled to do an Advance Diploma in Nutritional Medicine. I'm excited and scared all at the same time, but I am excited to add this skill to my business.
